2007 PHBA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP HORSE SHOW
QUALIFICATIONS & EXCEPTIONS
Qualifying Period January 1-December 31, 2006
All Owners, Amateurs, Novice/Amateurs, Exhibitors must be current members to show. All Amateurs or Novice/Amateurs must fulfill PHBA requirements. NSBA memberships will be required for NSBA classes for both Owners and Exhibitors.
Qualifying points for the World Championship Show shall be waived for horses domiciled outside the contiguous US.
Any PHBA horse, Amateur or Novice/Amateur can enter any class that does not require qualifying points at the regular fee.
Non-Qualified horses are eligible to compete in qualifying classes at the Non-Qualified rate.
Any PHBA horse and Amateur or Novice/Amateur can enter any class that requires qualifying points provided the appropriate
Non-Qualifying fee has been paid.
Horses qualify based on the point's scale for their age/sex during the year the horse earns the points. However, the horse will show in the appropriate age/sex group the year the horse competes at the PHBA World Show.
The qualifying period is from January 1, through December 31, based on the horses age as of December 31, (instead of the traditional January 1.) The following exceptions apply:
World Champions and Amateur World Champions may return to defend their titles in the same event(s) that the horse or Amateur/Horse earned the World Champion or Amateur World Champion title, respectively, without being qualified.
Junior horses qualified and entered in that one event may enter additional open classes without being qualified at the appropriate fees.
Senior horses qualified and entered in those two events may enter additional open classes without being qualified at the appropriate fees.
Weanling and Yearlings as of January 1, will be permitted to enter halter and/or color classes without being qualified.
Two & Three year olds as of January 1, will be permitted to enter halter, color and/or performance classes without being qualified.
Amateurs qualified in two Amateur classes and entered in those two classes may enter additional Amateur and/or open classes without being qualified at the appropriate fees.
Amateurs with Weanlings and Yearlings as of January 1, will be permitted to enter Amateur halter and/or color without being qualified.
Amateurs with two-year-olds as of January 1, will be permitted to enter Amateur halter, color and/or performance classes without being qualified.
Amateurs with three-year-olds as of January 1, will be permitted to enter Amateur performance classes without being qualified.
Novice/Amateurs will need to qualify in Amateur classes, not Novice/Amateur classes, to be eligible to qualify.
Amateurs who were Youth exhibitors last year may use their Youth points to qualify for the same respective classes. They may also use the above mentioned rulings pertaining to Amateurs.
