Hall of Fame Criteria

All nominations must be submitted in writing to the PHBA office along with any supporting show/breeding records, photos or letters at least 60 days prior to the PHBA National Convention. Nominations may also come from the Hall of Fame Committee itself.

Individuals and Horses may be nominated for more than 1 category but may only be chosen by the Hall of Fame Committee for 1 category.  Please use 1 application per nomination/category.

Nominees will be notified in writing within 60 days following the PHBA National Convention of their induction into the PHBA Hall of Fame.  The decision of the committee is final and any applicant that is not inducted has the right to re-submit to be considered the following year.

BREEDER: Individuals who have made major contributions to the Palomino Horse Breeders of America by breeding and raising outstanding horses over a considerable length of time. May only induct two (2) per PHBA National Convention.

EXHIBITOR: Individuals who are recognized across the nation as having had outstanding success at exhibiting and promoting Palomino horses and PHBA for a considerable length of time. May only induct two (2) per PHBA National Convention.

SERVICE: Individuals who have provided outstanding services of a personal nature to the betterment of the Palomino horse and PHBA as an organization. May only induct two (2) per PHBA National Convention.

HUMANITARIAN AWARD: Individuals who have provided outstanding services of the horse industry which is humanitarian or philanthropic in nature. May only induct two (2) per PHBA National Convention.

BREEDING HORSE: Mares or stallions which have demonstrated through the accomplishments of their progeny that during their lifetime made major contributions to the improvement of the Palomino Horse as a breed. These horses must be deceased. May only induct two (2) per sex per PHBA National Convention.

SHOW HORSE (STALLION, MARE OR GELDING): Any Palomino horse which has competed in nationally recognized events that exemplifies the true versatility, utility and spirit of the Palomino horse by its outstanding record of accomplishments in the show ring.  These horses must be deceased.  May only induct two (2) per sex per PHBA National Convention.

RACE HORSE: Any Palomino horse which has demonstrated in nationally recognized events that it exemplifies the true versatility, utility and spirit of the Palomino horse by its outstanding record of accomplishment in the racing. These horses must be deceased. May only induct two (2) per sex per PHBA National Convention.

Examples of supporting documentation may include, but are not limited to, the following:

*Official PHBA show record of exhibitor, horse or progeny

*Pictures of nominee

*Letters from nominator or friends and family of nominee

*Copy of published articles regarding the nominee
