International Equine Judges Academy
Tulsa, Okla., January 24-26, 2014 – Want to be a horse-show judge? Desire to know
what the judges are looking for in the show ring? Here is your opportunity to learn how!
The Color Breed Council is proud to announce the first annual Judges Academy, January
24-26, 2014. The academy will take place at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton Warren
Place in Tulsa, Okla.
The informative academy kicks off on Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. with an introduction to
judging. Prospective and current judges, as well as collegiate judging teams and
exhibitors from all disciplines in the equine industry are invited to attend. Seminars will
cover a wide array of classes, including performance and halter classes for stock, pleasure
and saddle type horses, as well as ponies and miniatures.
“The Color Breed Council is extremely excited to offer this opportunity for judges of all
expertise levels to either increase or develop their judging knowledge,” said Joe Grissom,
Color Breed Council coordinator. “In addition to the International Equine Judges
Seminar, the academy provides another avenue to make sure our industry judges are
prepared and trained to be their very best in the show ring!”
In addition to the judging seminars, there will also be a scribe seminar on Sunday.
Registration fees vary depending on seminars attending and whether a current judge or
student. Visit www.colorbreedcouncil.com for a complete schedule and registration
information.
